The Masters Fly Collection

Dear Friends, I want to share the good news that the Masters Fly Collection received its 600th donation today. Yuji Wabe, a master tier and hook maker from Japan, sent a "Nicholson," a gorgeous salmon fly. My profound thanks goes out to him as well as to all of the talented people who supported this project over the years. My prayer is 2018 will bring you good health and much happiness. Okay, I hope you catch lots of fish, too! Good day and God bless.

Good Morning, as promised, the rest of the Masters Collection was delivered to the Catskill Museum on Thursday. I cannot thank all of you talented and generous people enough for going out of your way to donate one of your beautiful creations. I truly hope each of you feels rewarded for being a part of the most significant fly collection in history. It's scheduled to be an exhibit next year and photos will undoubtedly be posted on the CFFCM Website. By the way, I will continue to collect flies to add to the Collection, and it's not too late for those who promised to send theirs. Again, my heart-felt thanks goes out to all of you wonder people and my fervent hope is your life is filled with good health, great memories and lots of fishing with family and friends. I have good news and great news. The good news is the rest of the Masters Fly Collection will be delivered next Thursday. The great news is, Dave Brandt, one of the most respected fly tiers and historians in the US has volunteered to be the curator. I will continue the collection effort from Pittsburgh, but will catalogue the donation and then send Dave the fly.
