It has been 59 days since we started the free Yamuna Facebook and Instagram Breath classes. I am seeing more clearly how this breath work is so important for ou...r Body Sustainability. I speak of Body Sustainability often. It should be a separate category other than fitness for people to care for their bodies. It should come before any fitness choices or be used alongside one. Body Sustainability speaks to the sensibility and logic that we are all capable of. Approaching the body thinking about what is best and healthiest for it today and In the future is Body Sustainability. Doing any kind of high impact extreme fitness without a Body Sustainability checklist to counteract the harm done to the body is very silly. It is not that hard to determine the negative side of any fitness activity and bring in some Body Sustainability work to prevent and stabilize the body. We need to care for the body sensibly. This need to push the body to stay young and healthy is wrong. Bringing sensibility to how to best approach staying in good shape is greatly needed in our culture. I hear too many stories from baby boomers who ran for their health who now need hip or knee replacements. They wish there would have been Body Sustainability choices back then. We know so much more today and we can prevent future generations from so many of the body breakdowns that could have been prevented. Why not be running if you love to run? Just add in work to keep the knees, hips, lower back and feet from breaking down. This is what all the Yamuna work offers.
Each day as I share the morning breath class with everyone I get greater inspiration to do this. I know just how important focusing on the breathing is for our ...self healing and for building healthy strong lungs. Because the Covid19 virus weakens the lungs and makes breathing difficult it is now more important than ever before to focus on building strong healthy lungs that can expand and take in more breath every day. Changing your breath intention to expanding your lungs to bring in more and more breath is what we all need right now. If you know people with the virus get them breathing into their lungs. It is very hard to breath into the lungs with Covid19 but a little focus several times a day will make a huge difference. Tell your friends and everyone you know who can benefit from this morning breath class to join it. It can only help everyone.
