The included site link to check your email address is safe to use. A few things to remember, don't use the same password in multiple locations, don't use pets names/family/etc, and keep track of your passwords by writing them down or using a password manager.

Spotify is currently having an issue with its desktop app. Advertisements are creating web browser popups that are harmful sites. If this happens to you the best course of action would be to close the page down that pops up and stop using spotifys desktop app. As far as I know their webpage doesn't have this issue at this time.

To all customers using Carbonite, the email you are receiving this week is real and go ahead and do the process outlined in it. This web-link also tells you what is happening, and what to do. If you need any help in the process just let me know. They didn't loose anyone's information, they are just being careful.

Microsoft has recently changed how the windows 10 upgrade prompt works. Read it carefully and find the "click here to change upgrade schedule or cancel scheduled upgrade" if you are not wanting to upgrade. Hitting the X up in the right hand corner or hitting 'ok' will schedule it to install and reboot your PC. Please backup your files before doing the backup, often goes right by sometimes doesn't.

Windows 10 is out and even though it is a great upgrade in my opinion I highly recommend people do a backup before doing the upgrade. Multiple systems have already came in with issues because of the upgrade. I've been able to resolve them (so far) but it is better not to take a chance with your data. I can also do the upgrade for you. I will do a full backup of your system and upgrade it to windows 10 and make sure everything is up to date and ported over correctly.
