It’s Wednesday.....that means we are hard at work making pierogies! Last week we ran out of pierogies by 5pm! In order to ensure everyone gets their fix this week we have called in reinforcements and quadrupled our normal amounts. We also asked you what flavors you would like to see and are taking those into consideration and have tested a few options we hope to roll out soon! This week’s flavors include potato and cheddar and cheddar bacon. We also tested a sweet version... that’s filled with ricotta, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, vanilla bean, raisins and candied pecans. We decided to finish these in the deep fryer, toss with cinnamon sugar and a drizzle of syrup. For those of you who requested prune.....here’s our less daring version. Just to make sure that we are in front of any rumors that may be circulating we did close the restaurant today because an employee had family members test positive for COVID. She has not been in the restaurant in over a week but we have Mammoth Restoration here right now doing a clean and fog to make sure it is safe for our employees and guests. We have consulted with the Erie a County Health Department and they say we are perfectly safe to reopen which we will do do when we are certain it is safe. We will continue to have our employees use masks while working, take employees temperatures before their shifts, exclude any employees showing any symptoms of illness and adhere to all guidelines from the state of Pa and the CDC.
