I hardly talk about my personal dogs. This is P, aka Miss P or her formal name of Precious, which I laugh over . She is the reason why I’m a trainer today. P has fear based reactivity and our first year together definitely had its challenging moments. She was difficult enough that her previous owners dropped her off at the shelter with a request that she be euthanized. P USED to bark and lunge at any person or dog that she’d see, regardless of distance. After hours of trai...ning she is a different dog. We are always training, but her training has evolved over the years. Today P had her annual vet appointment where she was perfectly appropriate towards all other dogs in the waiting room and her vet whom she’d never met before. I have only trained and will continue to only train using positive reinforcement and fear free methods. She has never known (with me) what a choke chain, prong collar or shock collar feels like. Choose science and love over dominance every day.

Ellie is prepping for her human baby brother that she’ll meet next month. She’s learning that animals on the tv screen are no big deal, and it’s not lady like to jump on new people.

How can you not this face?! Daisy has an adorable underbite and an very happy ear. We spent the afternoon working on a house training plan to eliminate the accidents in the house.
