Through practice and self study we find our greatest potential. This month the series will focus on Root chakra and the pelvic floor.
For the next few weeks in practice we will be working on building awareness, awakening and strength in the pelvic floor. These classes will be so much more than "hip opening" and there will be homework assignments to continue your self-study off the mat. In the meantime, here is an interesting playlist for future reference as we move forward. If you know of anyone who may benefit from these classes, please share with them so that they can gain from our collective Shakti!... https://www.youtube.com/playlist
No more chocolate kisses until December. Think of all the other possibilities until then...

This is exactly how my pelvis feels at the moment...@cristinafina ...NEED my Pilates. Every year I careful store this decoration away and yet, without fail, the following Christmas it is all tangled up and half the baubles have fallen off. There is always something that needs healing... now to find the nutcracker with a missing arm...
Not that anyone is counting...
Loving this poem by Lucille Clifton!
Feeling blessed to have a sacred space in my home to share teachings and decades of learning.
Last group practice of 2020, let's make this happen! A Yin sequence for the full body for every body, Wednesday 6-7:00pm. Please message for more details if you are at all hesitant about starting or re-starting your mat practice.... And if I don't see you there, all the very best to you and yours for the year to come. ~Peace
Here is Lucille Clifton reading "Homage to My Hips" our poem from Wednesday's Yin class. More body parts to explore next week, enjoy your weekend!
An upbeat, hip rockin' version of the mantra we worked with last night in practice. If this doesn't get you dancing, or at least tapping your toes, I give up! -Enjoy!
Santas love the snow!
Years ago my home practice started in my bedroom. I used to have to push the bed over a few feet to make room for my mat. The ritual continued for months until deciding to dedicate space in the basement for an alter and yoga props. My special place has since moved twice more, a divine room where I can go and find exactly what I need in the moment. ... How will you practice this week?
Years ago we used to take lemons and poke cloves into the rind in pretty patterns then hang with ribbon. I used to LOVE the aroma and this blend is inspired by those memories. Hope you get a chance to try this blend out. Leave a message and comment how you modified. Note: the cypress could be replaced by pine or cedarwood, and the lemon with citrus of your calling. Have heard of those with clove allergies, so check that it is safe for those in your home!
Usually about now I would be sending an update about class cancellation due to the weather...BUT NOT THIS YEAR! Snow? So what! Snuggle in this evening for a great Yin practice via Zoom starting at 6:00pm Worry about shoveling tomorrow!
An afternoon of cooking and baking, a little cultural mash-up with prep for pizzelles and pakora with spicy rice. Sure to cause mass digestive confusion, but some great aromas in the kitchen!
