Whenever making relief cuts, remove the fender to expose the upper rail. The fender is not a structural strong point of a vehicle. The upper rail is what needs ...to be cut to provide the needed relief to jack the dash. Also by leaving the fender on you will not be able to see the spring for the shocks. If you grab this spring with your cutter blades you will damage or break your cutter blades! Also the crash may weaken the upper rail that you may not need to make this cut at all. See more
