Good Morning FB family. Hope everyone is doing well during these difficult times.As we enter the stay at home order imposed by our Mayor for the City of Philade...lphia, I thought I would pass on some legal notices as it related to the Philadelphia Court system. 1.Although the Courts are closed in Philadelphia at least thru April3rd 2020, certain matters will be heard or addressed on an emergency basis. A) Temporary Protection from Abuse hearings will still be conducted at Stout Criminal Justice center. B) Criminal Detainers. If someone you know is being held as a result of recently being arrested and was on probation, then that person is being held as a result of a process called a detainer.The Philadelphia Courts have issued an Order stating that an Emergency Motion can be filed to have that detainer lifted. C) Sheriff's Sale- If your property was scheduled to go to sale on April 7th 2020 then that sale has been postponed until June2 2020. These are just a few notices that have come across my desk.
