To our long-term followers, appreciated believers, and understandable speculators: Since we announced plans for the vibrant lifestyle campus, we have been in continuous pursuit of a destination that lives up to the expectations of our tenants, residents, visitors, and neighbors. A few short years ago, the 29-acre site existed as an underutilized former steel site, packed with dilapidated steel buildings. Since then, we have received final approval for a twelve building camp...us, including a half-mile River Walk and a series of outdoor plazas and social spaces. All unusable buildings were demolished, and the utilities required to support modern infrastructure have been installed. Streets, curbs, and lighting standards criss-cross the site. The Waterfront is fully ready for the progress it is about to usher in. To date, five full buildings have been designed and are prepared to rise along the Lehigh to achieve critical mass early in the project's lifecycle. For the speculators out there: yes, our team of engineers analyzed and accounted for current (and future) floodplains before deciding to build an entirely new neighborhood (riverside projects with harsher conditions are built around the globe all the time). No, it will not be built overnight, and yes, pivoting to accommodate rising sector market demand is going to happen. At The Waterfront, we understand the finer details are what make places unique, and we owe it to our future tenants, residents, and visitors to deliver it right the first time. Today we are unveiling our new branding (with a new website ahead of some fantastic announcements) to bring everyone up to speed on the development.
