Yesterday, our 5th graders had the opportunity to join the Teach PA Virtual Mission to Harrisburg. They were able to learn about lobbying and meet with a staff member from Senator Gene Yaw's office and with Rep. Tim Briggs. Thank you to all of our legislators and to Governor Tom Wolf for all of your efforts on behalf of our students. To kick off our exciting Shavuos Learning Initiative, CTA students had the privilege of hearing words of inspiration from Rabbi Ephraim Shapiro!

Mitzvah Alert! Ami collected over 16,000 LEGO pieces which he donated to our Chai House in honor of his Bar Mitzvah. Thank you Ami! The Chai House is an apartment where our kids and their families can stay while undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Our 3rd graders had the privilege of zooming with Yaakov Shwekey today. Rabbi Lichtman's class is learning about Shema Yisroel and Yaakov Shwekey shared some words of inspiration, as well as the story behind his hit song, Shema Yisroel. Thank you to Rabbi Lichtman for arranging this special zoom!!

CTA 5th grade boys received their first Gemaras yesterday! Mazal Tov to 5B on this momentous occasion!!

In honor of Parshat Noach, CTA students were treated to an exciting petting zoo! The petting zoo had goats, sheep, snakes, baby kittens and much more!! Students were also able to bring in vegetables from home to feed the animals!

Calling all (Caskey) Torah Academy alumni! Who remembers what we were doing last year on this date?? It's hard to remember but can you believe that on September 15, 2019, we were having our Hachnasat Sefer Torah and Chanukat Habayit with a concert by Mordechai Shapiro concert!!?? We had a wonderful first day as we began our 2020-2021 school year at CTA! After so many months apart, it was great to see our hallways buzzing again with students and our ECP filled with parents and students at the "Meet and Greet." Our students adapted beautifully to our new COVID routines and there was such simcha from being together once again. Yasher Koach to our professional and lay leadership teams for their hard work in ensuring that we are a choice destination for outstanding Chinuch and that we have the resources to provide our CTA educational experience to our entire community.
