As our entire community continues to mourn for Eliza, we want to take a moment to post information for anyone who find themselves in need of a little extra support in processing her untimely passing. We recognize that this has hit our community hard: as parents, as neighbors, and as supporters of the Autism community. - ACCESS Mobile Services - (855) 634-4673 - Montgomery County Peer Support talk line - call (855) 715-8255 or text (267) 225-7785 - Hours 1:00pm-9:00pm seven ...days a week The Towamencin Police Department also participates in the L.O.C.A.T.E. program (Law Officers Concerned About The Endangered), specifically geared towards members of our community who may require special police services in the event of an emergency. If you know someone who may benefit from participation in this program, please reach out to our department for more information. **ADDITIONAL UPDATE** Towamencin Police Chief Dickinsons press conference regarding Eliza is posted on our Facebook page and multiple news media outlets. A child’s body was found by volunteers earlier today which has been confirmed to be Eliza. **UPDATE**... Eliza is still missing and has not been located. The family and our department have received an outpouring of community support and assistance. As we organize first responder search efforts, we want to include all of you in our search for Eliza. Officers and rescue crews will be extensively covering the Towamencin Creek and surrounding creek bed. Any volunteers participating in the search efforts today are asked to refrain from entering that area. We are asking for your assistance in checking neighborhoods, playgrounds, parks, and walking trails in the areas around the creek. Residents, we are encouraging you to periodically check your properties throughout the day. We are also asking residents with exterior facing cameras to make sure their systems are recording and to check all footage from overnight. Questions can be directed to our Facebook page or to our station at (215)368-7606. Anyone with information or who has seen Eliza is asked to contact Towamencin Police directly or call 911.

Guess the Rittenhouse Road bridge wanted to take a dip. Water is continuing to rise all around the township and our area. Please use caution if you must travel, and do not attempt to drive through flooded roadways.

Everyone give a nice warm welcome to Isais who is new to the northeast today! We have some roadways/areas of the township that are prone to flooding/standing water., and some new areas that may emerge today due to the high rain forecast. Please reduce or reschedule travel/errands today if you can. Emergency personnel will block off known areas that are unsafe or not navigable. TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN - You are required to obey all traffic control devices, especially those al...erting drivers to unsafe conditions on the road. This includes: cones, barricades, flares, tape, and emergency personnel directing traffic. This is for your safety as well as the safety for all first responders working the storm. In the event of a power outage, please report it directly to PECO (1-800-841-4141) or online at www.peco.com. 911 does not need to be alerted to your power outage unless this creates a significant threat to life.

*Sigh* ... the bridge wasn't even open for 3 weeks before our officers handled a collision involving a vehicle going the wrong way. There are PLENTY of signs warning drivers coming from Clemens Road. Officers will continue enforcement of the one way regulation. As a reminder, bicycles are governed under the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, and as such are legally required to follow traffic laws the same as a motor vehicle. This means bicyclists are to obey the same posted "Wrong Way" and "Do Not Enter" signs on the bridge. Please let us all do our part to keep that intersection safe and open!
