*ATTENTION* Reports are coming out about a new extortion scam where scammers are emailing users claiming that they know the recipient's password, and have used their password to install malware on the computer to capture videos of them browsing throughout pornographic websites through their webcam. This is the most recent scam involving cryptocurrency as the only method of payment. Similar scams have occurred in the past, with emails claiming to have knowledge of an extramari...tal affair, with a demand for bitcoin in exchange for silence. The scam can seem convincing because the password sent in the email may be a current or former password. If the password in the email is your current password, change the password for every platform that the password is used for immediately to ensure that your information is protected. To ensure that your information is protected at all times, change passwords regularly and enable two-factor authentication whenever possible for a more secure login.

Were you affected by Comcast's most recent nationwide outage? Were you unable to complete a personal or work related task due to the loss of internet connection? Comcast addressed this issue on social media by stating "We identified two separate and unrelated fiber cuts to our network backbone providers." If Level 3 goes down, most of Comcast goes down as well.... Comcast's major outage is a great example for why all businesses should consider having a secondary internet connection.
