Tweedle Park & Playground

Hoping that everyone is having a great holiday season and is staying healthy and safe! COVID has affected us all, and Tweedle Park is no exception. This year has seen us have to hold off on resuming bingo and a massive decrease in park rentals. With the funds that we've had from the last fundraiser as well as pre-COVID bingo, I was able to pay for our insurance for the upcoming year, however, with no forecasted income, and ongoing plowing/fuel oil/internet bills, we will be ...depleted of our remaining funds in the coming few months. I donate as much of my time, money and resources to the park as I can, but one person cannot sustain it alone. Tweedle is a private park, open to the community, and I am reaching out to the community now for help. I am aware that there was a relief grant available to the county, however, I was not able to apply for that grant in time. If anyone is aware of other grants or relief funds that are available, please let me know. DM or comment on this post. I would hate to have to consider closing down the park, but that is a decision that we might be facing. Thank you to all who help keep the park going! We will be taking a break from bingo until May. Hoping that we can get more people in to play then. Games will start back up on May 14th.

Bingo tonight! We really need to get the attendance up or we won't be able to continue having bingo, so please get the word out, come play and bring a friend!

Looking for some feedback here. We are thinking about doing a free movie night at Tweedle Park one night in the week of August 12th. We would have concessions and families could set up lawn chairs or blankets on the grass and enjoy a movie. Give this post a thumbs up if you are interested in attending. I will move forward with the event and post more info if we get a decent number of likes.
