A simple heart filled reminder I heard in a meeting last week that I am still chewing on today. I would be humbled that if you attend Twin Hills. Would take tim...e to read what is on your shepards heart. 1: 30% of Christians wont be returning back to church. 2: 1/3 of Christians have stopped attending all together since the pandemic started. It's hard to swallow these numbers. We look at church as an extra curricular activity and as if it is just another addition to our life goal to live a happy life and to make ourselves happy. But as a pastor, I mourn over those souls not coming to church and those who refuse to attend, even online church. But can I get a little personal for just a moment. Would you be willing to check in on your pastor to make sure he/she is doing ok? In a matter of just a week in 2020. Churches all across the world came to a screeching halt and I am sure, as your pastor watched the flock disappear into he hills, he/she was hurting too left alone to pick up the pieces. As Ministry leaders, deacons, stewards, members etc. had the opportunity to drop everything they were committed to. And yes, some of those things needed to be dropped because of burn out and poor productivity. But just for a moment, get the picture of a pastor watching the flock scatter. Feel the jarring effect of being at 75 or more percent effective and then being slammed into the brick wall of an empty church. For many churches, it was only the pastor and a scratchy poor quality audio/video that kept the church going forward and connected. What am I saying? I am just saying for you to truly and humbly encourage your pastor this year. More than just physical gifts and words, although they are always welcomed. Gifts are great. But if you were to ask me. Do you know what I would want or wish for? To see a faithful Nehemiah moment in the church, and in your life. With ministries being dropped, and discipleship needing to be rethought, reimagined and regrouped. Take this moment to go to your pastor and say, "How can I help?" Out of all of the lessons we learn from Nehemiah. There is one that is on the front burner of my heart and it is this, "you can’t solve a problem that you run away from." Nehemiah never prayed, "God, send a miracle." Nor did he pray, "God, send someone else." No, he simply yielded his heart to say, "God, send me." You see, the greatest ability that Nehemiah had was his availability. I once heard this being said, "There are no problems that people can’t solve, but there are people unwilling to solve them." So as simply, kindly and gentle as I can say this... are you willing to check in on your pastor, and are you willing to roll up your sleeves to join with him/her in saying, How can I help make a difference? Yes, Jesus, I am available. You're loved church. - pm

Join us tomorrow at 9am. Live streamed service and in person. 10:30am for in person service. We've been talking about generosity. And fear paralyzes us from being generous people. Tomorrow we go a little deeper into this fear and look at the fear of rejection.
Sign ups for the drive thru trick or treat will be made available this Sunday. Candy donation, car decoration or even just someone to help with traffic or handing out the goodie bags. Better together!
Here is a tentative map for our first ever Drive-Thru Trick or Treat event. We're working on having a few families decorate their trunks, or just set up in the parking lot route to hand out candy.
