July 4th Evening Canal Boat Tours! In addition to our usual 12:30 - 3:30 Sunday afternoon tours, we've added extended tours into the evening to celebrate Independence Day. Additional tours will run from 5pm to dusk.

This past Wednesday a set of car keys were found on a picnic table at Union Canal Tunnel Park on the south side near the port-a-potty. The key with key fob (typical electronic type) is to a Pontiac vehicle. They will be dropped off at the Lebanon County Historical Society. Give them a call at 717-272-1473 if these are your keys.

On Sunday, August 30th, from 11am until 3pm, we will once again be having a Variety Market. More details coming soon! If you are a vendor and interested in joining us to showcase your merchandise, please email Angelina at [email protected].

July Variety Market! Join us on Sunday, July 12th for this season's second Variety Market. Dorterra Essential Oils by Amanda, Color Street by Stephanie and Tastefully Simple by Hattie will be there along with some yummy food served up by Castaneda Mexican! The Market will be open fro 11am until 3pm. Since COVID 19 has halted our historical tours on our canal boat because we are unable to social distance, we will be offering a "donation only" walking tour at 1 pm. We will obs...erve social distancing protocol and take a walk down the tow path to the tunnel- and for those ready to tackle the climb, up the mule path to the top of the tunnel. We will pause at a few locations and talk about the history of the canal and how it impacted the growth of both Lebanon and Pennsylvania. If we have enough interest, another walking tour will be held at 2:30. See more

Hello friends! Even though we aren't ready to start boat tours for the season, we do have an event in June for you to check out! On June 14th from 11am until 3pm we will be having another Variety Market! Come join Doterra, LC Creations and Tastefully Simple- do a bit of shopping and enjoy the fresh air in our beautiful park! Friends, We hope that all of you and your families are safe. As a result of the ongoing Covid 19 situation we are sad to announce the cancelation of Union Canal Days scheduled for May 16th and 17th. Social distancing guidelines make it impossible to conduct tours and to have large gatherings. Thank you to vendors, businesses and the general public for your continued support. We are already looking forward to Union Canal Days next year to be held May 15th and 16th 2021. We will continue to update our Facebook page concerning the start of our normal Sunday afternoon tour schedule. As of now, we are planning to begin these Sunday tours in June. Our turtles are looking forward to seeing you!

Seasons change but our park is always beautiful! If you have an eye for beauty and visit our park, we invite you to take a few pictures. We are looking to create a 2021 calendar with your photos! Here is the scoop... During the months of February and March, send us your favorite photo of the WINTER season via messenger. In April, we will post photos we receive and encourage the public to vote on their favorites via "likes". The top three photos will cover the winter months i...n our 2021 calendar. We will then do this three more times this year, spring, summer and fall, to fill out the remaining months. Here are the rules: 1) Pictures must be taken in the park and be of scenery or native wildlife- no people or pets 2) One entry per FaceBook account 3) By sending your picture to us, you agree we can use your picture for our calendar or to repost on our page without compensation. We will credit the picture to the original photographer 4) You must be 18 years of age or older to submit a picture

All we want for Christmas this year at Union Canal Tunnel Park are a couple of new boat captains! Spend your Sunday afternoons at the beautiful Union Canal Park helping others learn about the history of the park and why the tunnel is on the National Register of historic sites.
