It is November. It is the month of Thanksgiving. We usually count our blessings during November. I know many of you know how much I like Thanksliving. We have a new challenge this year. We are asking all of you to make a blessings bag and give it to someone. You can pick anyone that you want. Get a bag, put some special items in it for that person, and sign the card and remind them that God loves them. You can ring their doorbell or knock and then leave the bag for them. You can also call or text to let them know that you left them a blessing.

We always say to count our blessings. Sometimes it is easier to count your problems. There have been many changes this year. Many people talk about what they can't do. Psalm 103:2 reminds us "Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me." Let's try to remember all of the things that we can do.

Here is tonight's service. The first minute is missing. Say hello if you watch it.

Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself. C. S. Lewis

We are talking about being kind and letting your light shine in our children's Sunday School lessons. Here is the verse from Matthew 5:16 In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven. How are you letting your light shine for God?... You may win a yummy treat if you respond.
