UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who shared this story we have found the responsible party! We're looking for any information regarding a hit and run that occurred a...t our historical fire building at the intersection of SR6 and SR267 some time between the morning/early afternoon hours of 1/3/21. The authorities have been contacted and we are looking at cameras in the area but our hope is that someone may have seen it first hand. It appears that some type of dual wheeled vehicle may have backed into it causing significant damage to the structure and shifting the building. If you have information please feel free to reach out through messenger or contact Meshoppen borough PD. There were also debris left behind which leads us to believe whoever damaged the building may have broken a mirror or a window in the process.

Last night at 11:49pm United was dispatched to a working fire on Petersen Rd in Dimock Twp. Un13 arrived within minutes reporting a well involved residential structure with fire self venting through the roof. The following video shows the Ladder Officer performing a secondary 360 after tank water was dumped and while awaiting water to be established. Engine2 and Springville Engine would lay 1800' of five inch supply line to a nearby pond. As always we give a huge thank you to all mutual aid companies and standby/backfill companies. Crews cleared this difficult wind driven fire at 4:20am, many of them cleaning up and heading to their full time jobs. We ask that you keep the family in your thoughts as the house was a total loss, the Red Cross was notified to provide assistance.
Volunteerism is at an all time low! Call numbers are at all time highs! Fires that used to be put out by 40 firefighters from one department are now being taken on by 15 firefighters from five departments! We need your help! Your community needs your help! If you are a caring dedicated individual looking to give back to your community stop by your local fire station and get an application. We are at the station every Tuesday night from 7pm until 10pm. No experience necessary all training will be provided! This is what we do this is who we are! Your community needs you, your family and friends need you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36VY5rZTCuw

Early this morning United would be dispatched for the reported attic fire on the Ridge Rd in South Montrose. UN11 arrived with smoke from the roof of an apartment building and requested additional units. First arriving crews from the Ladder and Engine2 stretched a hand line to the second floor finding a fire in the walls that had extended to the attic. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire holding it to one room of the residence and a small area of the attic. Thank you to all of our mutual aid companies who responded to what could have been a very large fire. Earlier in the evening United Rescue assisted Springville on an accident with confinement on Sr29 just north of Springville.
