The challenge will be held in person at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, August 21. At the event, take part in a 5K around the stadium neighborhood or participate in a 10-, 30- or 50-mile bike ride through Philadelphia. Tomorrow is Juneteenth, the oldest celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. On this day in 1865 two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure the freedom of all enslaved people. This Juneteenth, USLI reinforces our commitment to our Black employees and customers and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative. We understand racial justice is our shared respon...sibility it takes each of us. While this day celebrates freedom, we know there’s still work to do. That’s why we’ve made a commitment to creating resources and educational opportunities to learn about the history of racism and the inequalities that still exist today.
