Please only make an appointment if you’re 100% sure you will make it. We have VERY limited spots available. Hello all! Quick announcement to answer everyone's curiosity about our re-opening date. As of now, Philadelphia is moving into the yellow phase of the Safer At Home policy, mostly pertaining to restaurants, retail stores, offices, and construction but NOT INCLUDING SALONS. Salons are still on the sidelines, waiting for a green light, because we are a high touch business. As of last week, we boarded up the windows and doors to prevent rioters and looters from breaking in. ... We have also installed safety barriers for each nail station, pedicure station, and reception desk in preparation for re-opening. You will also notice brand new flooring as well as an updated bathroom in the nail section. The waiting room and the nail polish center are also reorganized. With that being said and through countless adversities this year including a long shutdown period with riots and looting, we will not only survive but THRIVE as a business and DEFINITELY be open, just waiting for government to allow us to re-open and when riots stop. For businesses that go against this rule, the fines are heavy. We have always followed the rules and will continue to uphold our exemplary standards as a top salon in the industry and to provide clean, safe, and top quality products and services. Our first weekend of re-opening was a huge success with fully booked appointments. I am pleased to announce that our dear Joanna is back! She will be available only on Mondays and Fridays from 1-6pm as of now. Please call 215-637-4363 during business hours to make an appointment. Hi All! We would like to voice our heartfelt appreciation to our clients who have supported us to this day. Without you, Viva would not have grown to what it is now. We started with 6 people and have seen more than 20 nail and hair techs over the years. And our number of clientele had skyrocketed in the 2nd year of grand opening and still continue to climb. There were good times and there were bad times too. When we re-open, we will see those who have lost loved ones. S...ome have lost their jobs and even homes. We will also sadly see that we have lost some of our beloved clients who have patronized our establishment for over a decade. We send our love and support to those who are going through difficult times. There are also valiant people at the frontlines battling this virus whom we are so thankful for. We promise that we will weather the storm together and definitely will be re-open when the city lockdown is lifted. Fortunately, none of our employees nor their family members have been inflicted with the virus due to our early proactive protocols from Feb-Apr. We also have enough reserves to outlast this drought. We don’t yet know when we will re-open but when we are, we will implement additional safety protocols that will guarantee everyone’s safety and comfort. For those asking us to donate masks to hospitals: We wish we could but we have run out of masks even before the two week shutdown. Our employees were re-using their masks and disinfecting them in the UV machine even before the shutdown due to a global shortage of masks. This is a desperate time for all now and we will do our best to try and help anyone we can. Because we are closed down and literally cannot do any business, we are struggling to even pay rent. Our employees a...re also struggling because they cannot go back to work. Small non-essential businesses are the hardest hit right now without any financial support, federal bailouts, or ability to operate but we still have to pay rent. All over the country, small businesses are fearing whether they can make it through the coronavirus outbreak AND a possible recession. And we here at Viva Nails, Hair, & Spa are in the same boat as those small businesses. Right now, our priority is to avoid closing down completely while we cannot do business and to help all our clients stay safe by practicing social distancing. We are grateful to even be able to weather the storm. Thank you for your concern and once again, we will do our best to contribute the way we can by socially distancing and helping out local shelters. We are proud annual donors of the Philadelphia Police and Fire departments and the local churches who are currently working so hard to serve our country even amidst the danger to themselves and their families.
