Northampton Township May 31 Memorial Day Ceremonies - 8:00AM and 9:00AM There will be two Memorial Day ceremonies that will take place in the Richboro section o...f Northampton Township on May 31st. At 8:00AM. There will be a flag lowering/raising ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in front of the 7 flag poles of the Northampton Township building located at 55 Township Rd, Richboro, PA. Along with the pole hoisting the US flag there are 6 other flag poles each hoisting a flag of the branch of the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines). This ceremony at 8:00AM will only last 5 minutes and will be conducted by the Marine Corps League's Patriot Detachment. At 9:00AM there will be the annual 45 minute special ceremony at the Robert H. Dembowski, Jr. Veterans Memorial Park located at Routes 232 and 332 (2nd Street Pike & Almshouse Rd), Richboro. Included in this ceremony will be a wreath laying by family representatives of our two Northampton soldiers who were killed in action. They were Army PFC Bobby Dembowski, Jr. and Army Master Sgt. Ken Elwell. We will never forget the ultimate price they paid, Bobby Dembowski, Jr. on May 24, 2007 and Ken Elwell on July 17, 2011. As part of the program there will also be a POW/MIA/KIA Remembrance Ceremony during the event. Special guest speaker will be Major Thomas Matthews, USA Retired. The requirements for masking and social distancing are not required for this outdoor event so wearing a mask is left to your discretion. We hope to see many people allowing some time to come to this event as we start getting our lives back to normal.

Wendi Thomas for PA State Representative 19.06.2021

After today's continued tabulation of ballots, it has become clear that our campaign can safely declare victory. I want to thank the people of Bucks County who have once again entrusted me to be their voice in Harrisburg, and the countless volunteers and donors to my campaign without whom this victory would have been possible. I must thank the staff of my House office for their tireless efforts at helping the people of the 178th District.... Most importantly I must thank my husband, our children, and my family for their unwavering support. No public official can do their job effectively without the backing of their family. 2020 has presented our nation and our state with unprecedented challenges - challenges that will continue in the new year. I know that we can meet these challenges as we always have: by coming together as a community to find common ground and commonsense solutions. I am committed to doing just that and ask everyone in the 178th District - whether you voted for or against me - to please join me. Thank you again. It is my honor and my privilege to serve you in the State House of Representatives.
