The women of Montgomery County are up to some amazing things. Thank you for the invitation, Julie to the Women and Leadership Forum. I reconnected with some and met many new inspiring women taking the lead in our community. The uplifting nature towards others is exactly what I believe in and is exactly what this group is about! ... Tamale Edward's, 6 ABC received many awards for all her career work and is truly a beautiful woman inside and out. The speakers were phenomenal as well. I learned a lot today.

Today is World Mental Health Day. The stigma shaming and blaming the addict is real and it's up to each of us to become educated on the topics we don't understand. As a community health nurse, I am a part of International Nurses Society on Addiction. We are doing our part to learn about worldwide evidence based practice on how to reduce stigma, how to better treat people, and how to educate those we serve. Our members vary in expertise from all around the world speaking bef...ore me. We are learning quickly that we have so much more work to do and we can do better! As Ellen would say.... Be Kind to One Another! #intnsa43

What a memorable evening honoring those we've lost from addiction. Our Warriors Women are on a mission to life long sobriety and bettering their lives with a new start. I'm so proud of these women for the positive changes they are making and restarting with many times nothing. It's a struggle everyday but they prove it is possible. #WarriorsRecovery #Recovery #StrongWomen #WeLoveMontco
