The Word 1Kings 3:5 10 That night the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, "What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!" ... Solomon replied, "You showed faithful love to Your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to You. And You have continued Your faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne. "Now, O LORD my God, You have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn't know his way around. And here I am in the midst of Your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted! Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern Your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of Yours?" The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. NLT A Thought Here we are in the middle of life, in the middle of many troubles! Regardless of our age, we are all as little children when we compare our understanding to God’s understanding. Ask God 1. For understanding about your own problems 2. To give you compassion for your neighbor and their issues 3. To know right from wrong 4. To provide solutions 5. To recognize His answers when they are different from what you requested 6. For patience and love The Lord IS pleased.

The Word Colossians 2:6-10 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him. ... Let your roots grown down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done. Don’t let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world, and not from Christ. For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe. A Thought Jesus changes your heart when you choose to accept and follow Him. You want to hear and read His Word You want to do what He tells you. You notice little things getting easier certain frustrations are no longer upsetting because you realize it’s not that important. This is Jesus working in your life. Your faith automatically grows your spirit is stirred as you notice these changes that God is making in your life. It’s comforting to know that God is over every ruler and authority, over each person. It’s comforting to know that God is working even when you cannot see it! Rest easy God’s got it!

The Word Psalms 105: 1-5 Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. ... Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his miracles. Exult in his holy name; O worshipers of the Lord, rejoice! Search for the Lord and for his strength, and keep on searching. Think of the wonderful works he has done, the miracles and the judgments he handed down. A Thought Are you depressed? Give thanks to the Lord and remember a miracle in your life. Are you worried? Sing songs of praise and proclaim His greatness. Are you overwhelmed? Mentally, wrap His arms around you, and be grateful for His promises. Are you alone? Remember when the Lord went to the wilderness alone to pray. Search for His strength. Remember His works, His miracles and judgments. He is always with you! Keep Him close to you in your heart and mind! That’s where He wants to be

Psalm 139:23 - 24 The Word Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts.... Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. NLT A Thought You like to hear blessings and good words from God. It makes you feel good when your day goes smoothly and you are able to cross off many items on your ‘to do’ list. You know that God was with you! Then there are days that it takes twice as long to complete the smallest job. You are grumpy from the moment your feet hit the floor and your world knows it! God was with you but He wasn’t the One you focused on! Recognize what God is telling you especially on a bad day! He wants you to hear what you don’t want to hear! The difficulties will probably keep coming until you are willing to change and do what He is telling you! God is talking to you even on a bad day! It’s not your imagination!

The Word Proverbs 4:20-27 Pay attention, my child, to what I say. Listen carefully.... Don’t lose sight of my words. Let them penetrate deep within your heart, for they bring life and radiant health to anyone who discovers their meaning. Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do. Avoid all perverse talk; stay far from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet, then stick to the path and stay safe. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. NLT 1996 A Thought We do many things in life and then wonder why we are facing the particular circumstances that are in front of us! Are we focused on living life our way or God’s way?

The Word Galatians 4:1-2 If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set. NLT... A Thought A person who has just accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior has all of the power, the Holy Spirit, the understanding that God gives us. Your responsibility is to Read His Word, Hear His Word, Say His Word , Act on your faith, and you will change. Your understanding and wisdom will grow. If you don’t like something about yourself - read His Word, believe, act, and you will change.

Galatians 3:2, 3 The Word Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. ... How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? NLT A Thought When we try to solve our problems by ourselves, they get shuffled around, and put under the carpet. They appear to be solved, but always comes back. Give the problem to God and let Him handle it. He will comfort your spirit and show you how He is handling the issue. Give God praise for how He is handling the issue and showing you His results. Believe that it is gone. Tell satan to take the problem and get out of your space. Whenever you start to worry or stress about it, tell satan ‘God’s got it.’ Always thank God and give Him praise for handling it. This is God’s method to handle issues!

II Corinthians 12: 7-10 I don’t want anyone to think more highly of me than what they can actually see in my life and my message, even though I have received wonderful revelations from God. But to keep me from getting puffed up. I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from getting proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time, He sa...id My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me. NLT A Thought God wants us to use our weak abilities the abilities/talents we don’t talk about because we are not good at them. Think about the untapped, weak abilities that are not being used! That means there are many, many more opportunities that God can show his power through you if you would let him! Whenever you are doing something God wants you to do, you will not be ashamed of the results of what you have done.
