The KOOL Summer Program in Turtle Creek is hiring! They want to hear from you ASAP. The Human Services Center Corporation (HSCC) is currently seeking IMMEDIATE candidates for part-time temporary work in the KOOL Summer Program in Turtle Creek for low-income first-fifth graders which runs July 1-August 13, 2021 (closed July 5). Our long running and high performing Program has recently had an unprecedented event in which two of our staff have unforeseen scheduling conflicts fo...r this summer. Due to this, we are looking to expedite the hiring process and we would like to hear from you ASAP! You must possess current Act 33/34 and FBI clearances or at least start applying for them to be considered for an interview. The HSCC is following all CDC recommendations and our procedures are considered low risk. Small groups of students will stay together all day, each day. Participants will remain at least 3 feet apart inside and will not share objects. Outdoor activities will be prioritized. Masks will be mandated to be worn at all times aside from meal times. The Education Associates are responsible for overseeing a classroom of youth, developing and implementing math and reading lessons on a weekly basis, implementing an online academic curriculum, and planning lots of other activities daily, among other duties. High energy is needed lots of time is spent outside and indoors playing with and supervising the participants. Hours are Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM-4:30PM. The pay is $15/hour for 40 hours per week. An Entry Level Tax Staff will be required to assist in the tax preparation of various tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. Primary Job Functions Perform a variety of tax related responsibilities which include research, study and work toward a high level of technical proficiency in the Internal Revenue Code, state regulations and other pertinent technical guidance including client industries and professional standards (AICPA and PICPA). This especially pertains to 1040 processing. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of firm-flow and document management system, various technical software packages (i.e. SurePrep and Profx), MS Office products and research tools. Understand the cycle used to deliver an optimal client product. Be able to prepare work papers that support and cross-reference without error. Maintain and build client loyalty through quality and timely completion of assigned tasks. Adhere to 24-hour response policy to client-initiated communications with the firm. Desired Skills Superior computer software skills; advanced Excel skills preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively independently, as a team member and in interactions with the partners, senior management and clients. Knowledge of QuickBooks helpful. Robust analytical and problem solving skills. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. (Current CPA or in the process of obtaining CPA preferred.) 0 to 2 years’ experience. Work Status Full time Monday through Friday. Some nights and weekends may be required during busy season Reporting Reports to the Tax Manager.
