Best of luck to all of our Colonels as they begin finals! Thanks for working so hard this year to keep our COVID infections low and allow us to operate through the semester. Wishing you all the very best and we'll see you soon!

The Wilkes University Police Department joins police departments throughout the nation for No Shave November. No Shave November challenges participants to forgo shaving in order to provoke conversations regarding cancer awareness and raise critical funds for research and services for those impacted by cancer. Chief Christopher Jagoe has authorized members of the WUPD to participate in this event and has waived the standard facial hair grooming policy to allow staff to grow o...ut their facial hair in support of this national campaign. WUPD staff who make a donation to the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute before Nov. 15, will be permitted to grow a well-groomed beard. From Nov. 1-Nov. 30, staff members have the option to continue their efforts. They can continue fundraising via family, friends and the public to raise additional money and earn the ability to keep their facial hair until Jan. 1. Proceeds from No Shave November will go to the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, a local, non-profit organization working to ease the burden of cancer in northeastern Pennsylvania. The Cancer Institute is unique in that it is an independent, exclusively local entity with the flexibility to respond directly to the evolving needs of the community. Please participate in this event by making a contribution to the cause. An investment in the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute can help provide important community and patient services to all citizens of northeastern Pennsylvania. If you want to make a contribution in honor or memory of a friend or family member, please provide those details along with your contribution and the Institute we will send a letter informing the honoree or family of your thoughtfulness. Checks payable to the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute should be sent to: The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute 334 Jefferson Avenue Scranton, PA 18510-4501 Thanks in advance for your support!
