Mostafa Darwish and Kaitlyn Basta and @BryanDeprospero have been working on this project for over a year, and finally, it is finally been realized, and only growing bigger. Here are the info and press release for the Codex Project. The Codex project is an intensive collective and exhibition of 20 artists, who are annually invited to create authentic, open -ended artwork individually within a bound book over the course of a year. To be more elaborate, we invite artis...ts to be part of a yearly show, where we book bind a book specifically per participants needs and send it to them. The participant has a time period of 11 months to work on the book with their creative vision and return it back after a year to be displayed at a gallery venue. Our website mentioned our mission, and it will be fully updated soon, so please be on the look out. Here's a quick excerpt that we wrote on the website "The project’s organizers encouraged participants to treat the pages as finished works, to utilize all their books’ pages, and to expand their own sense of quality in their work in whatever sense that means to them. It is an intensive project with only these limitations. This exhibition with 'Harrison Doyle An Urban Narrative'... is one of those shows... please come to the gallery to not only take in beautiful artwork with a unique vision... but also come see and... celebrate the opening night so you too can experience if just for a few hours... an alternate universe called the 'Art World'.... it will be one hell of a show!
