Well it's time to say it and get out of denial mode... With great sadness I say that Bailey is not pregnant I will hopefully get another shot later in the year and will keep you all updated. My lack of puppies is certainly not for lack of trying I think I might throw up if I add up all the hours and $ I have spent trying to make it happen the last 3 years

We are SO excited to announce that we have bred Bailey to Cloudy If pregnant she will be due the first week of April I'm allowing myself to be excited but know full well the possibility that she may not take. Stay tuned for updates!

Thought I would share this Handsome guys birthday pictures a little late posting (birthday was Jan 3) Bloo is from Harley's first litter - Happy 4th belated birthday to all the Whispering Pines babies from litter #1!

Just thought I would put out an update since I know there are many anxiously awaiting a litter from beautiful Bailey. At this point we are still waiting for her to come into season I have a lengthy list of people to contact once there is an expected litter, but I am always willing to add another name. Just know we are still here, "patiently" waiting and enjoying our summer as a family.

I took advantage of this gorgeous day here in PA and groomed Bailey for some updated pictures she is filling out nicely and has a beautiful coat. Bailey is easy to train, eager to please, and so gentle with our children. I am so excited to see what kind of puppies we are able to produce through her not only with looks but more importantly her health! . Since I'm not sure I've ever really done any sort of introduction for myself here is my debut helping to showcase our B...ailey. My name is Sonya - dog obsessed since birth, I graduated from a vocational school as a vet assistant and have worked at two different veterinary offices before starting my family. I grew up watching/helping my mom raise American Goldens and knew I wanted to continue on my own one day. I love being able to turn a hobby into a way to provide for my family! Another familiar fur face around here is Beautiful Barley from our first litter. She loves the snow just like her momma!

Next up is Chance, from Harley's second litter. Fun fact is they kept his name that we gave him when he was born (we did a homeward bound theme if you're a fan of the 90's movie ) he wanted to help mommy decorate for Christmas!

In case you're wondering about Harley's recovery I think this video speaks for itself she got her stitches out last week already and was so excited about our first snow! Enjoy - and happy thanksgiving everyone!

Wow what a whirlwind of the last 24 hours Unfortunately there will be no puppies from miss Harley. I was confident that she was pregnant this week with her belly starting to pop ever so slightly. I noticed some concerning discharge and got her to the vet where my fears were realized and they diagnosed her with a pyometra (a uterine infection). This is an unfortunate risk that any female can contract if not spayed. The only cure for this is a spay procedure. This was a...lso the reason for her slight belly growth. So while I am sad we will not be bringing anymore puppies into the world through Harley she deserves the rest and is recovering so amazing! You would never know she just had major surgery! I am so very thankful she did not seem to suffer pain with the Infection and we were able to catch it before it harmed her as this condition can be fatal in a very short amount of time. Bailey (our younger female) needs to have some of her health certifications done, and as long as she passes all of those we will look forward to puppies this coming year in 2020 so keep an eye out I will try to post updates. Bringing puppies into the world is no easy task and I can assure you I put my blood sweat and tears into these babies and their Mama's thanks for following along and I hope to have some more sweet fluffballs next year! It's been rather quiet here - we are currently waiting and watching patiently (or maybe not so patiently ) to see if our queen Harley is pregnant we should know in a few weeks what the verdict is! If she is pregnant her puppies will be born around the beginning of December I have a waiting list of those to contact once pregnancy is confirmed, please email me at [email protected] if you would like to be added to that list In the meantime I have updated our website with our new studs information - he is gorgeous and genetically clear! I am SO disappointed to tell you all that after confirmation by x-ray this morning miss Harley is not pregnant If you are on my waiting list I am so sorry and we will try again next year - also once Bailey is of age we will have her bred as well So thankful for all of you supporting and following my page and sharing pictures of all your precious whispering pines babies, dogs and breeding have always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl and I plan to continue breeding this beautiful breed for years to come

Remember the exciting news I wanted to share? Allow me to Introduce Bailey! Bailey is the daughter of International Champion Tramin Sarmat. This sire is a large, blocky cream colored genetically clear handsome fella - just google him and you will see for yourself!! Her mother is Champion Tramin Come Together also genetically clear!! ... She will be the future of Whispering Pines Golden Retrievers and we are THRILLED to be adding her to our family So thankful for a husband who supports my dreams and passion for breeding - he drove me down to North Carolina (left at midnight) picked up this sweetie and zoomed home to get her all settled in as you can see she is getting lots of love and she is already so well socialized and trained by her fabulous previous owner

It totally slipped my mind yesterday to post about Harley's first litter's second birthday! Happy birthday here is Bloo how striking!! Also I'm sure you're all wondering about Harley as far as I can tell we do not think she is pregnant I am so bummed! We have an x-ray scheduled for next week to see for sure so I will update at that point! However - I will have some other exciting news to post soon but I'll leave you all in suspense for a few days
