This morning, members made the trip to Hazleton City to pay final respects to West Hazleton Chief Emeritus Robert Ward who passed away earlier this week. Chief ...Ward was a staple of the Fire South Community as well as a State Fire Instructor who taught many firefighters in our area. Our prayers and condolences are with the Brothers and Sisters of the West Hazleton Fire Department and The Ward Family during these difficult times. Until we meet again Chief, Stay Low and Let it Blow.

Before the internet cowboys go crazy, a couple of things: 1, this video shows a TECHNIQUE to get in (VES) or out (escape) a high window with the ARS Multi-Loop ...Rescue Strap. 2, this particular window might be able to gained without it, but it's used to demontstrate the technique. 3, yes, you can do something similar with a piece of webbing, but this shows an additional use for the MLRS, which is always easier to work with than standard webbing.
