Get to know our featured staff member for the month of July, Dr. Patrick Donohue (Dr. Pat)! He has been a chiropractor for 14 years and has been with us at WHF ...for 8 years. His favorite healthy snack is hard boiled eggs but he would prefer onion rings. His hidden talent is that he is an awesome dancer and outside of work he spends his time with his wife and kids! If you are experiencing neck tightness and discomfort try performing these simple stretches to help provide some relief. Perform these exercises in several sets of 6-10 repetitions 3 times a day and you will be surprised at the amount of flexibility that returns in just a couple of months.

While many of us continue to work from home it is important to practice good sitting posture. Unfortunately working from home can create its own set of challenges for us and one of them being a setting that allows us to practice good sitting posture. The home office set up can sometimes result in discomfort in the neck, shoulders, wrists and low back. When it comes to creating a work space for proper posture its first important to use a chair that is supportive. It should fit you correctly so that your back touches the chair with feet firmly on the floor and knees positioned at a 90 degree angle. When looking at your computer screen try avoiding looking down and instead keep it elevated at eye level. Lastly please do not forget to get up, move around and stretch periodically every 20 minutes.
