At 12:10 PM, the West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to assist Goshen Fire Company for a mulch truck on fire on Greenhill Road. Upon arrival, crews assisted with fire attack, diesel and hydraulic fluids in the roadway, and other hazard control. Crews operated for about 3 hours before being released. Strong work by all!
At 8:39 AM, the West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to Queen Drive for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival, crews found and extinguished a small brush fire in the woods to the rear of the residence. Thank you to Engine 56 for the assistance!
Last night at 10:25 PM, the West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at the Hanover Exton Square apartment building. Minutes later, the assignment was upgraded to a box due to smoke in the building. Engine 6-1, Engine 6-2, Ladder 6, Rescue 6, Brush 6, Squad 6, Traffic 6, and Chief 6 made the response. Upon arrival, crews found smoke from a cooking mishap and ventilated the building.

Tomorrow is the big day! Santa has informed us that he has made his list and will still be visiting West Whiteland tomorrow to check it twice! He should arrive around 8 AM so listen for the sirens and we look forward to seeing all of you! (Socially distant of course)
Great news West Whiteland Residents! We have just received word from Santa and he informed us that Santa will visit us on Saturday, December 19th to be escorted around the township on the fire truck! Santa will start his township tour around 8:00 AM so look for the lights and listen for the sirens as he checks his list twice through all of the neighborhoods!
At 7:55 AM, the West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to Northbound Route 100 in the area of the Exton Train Station for an auto accident involving multiple vehicles and a jackknifed tractor trailer. Chief 6, Rescue 6, Engine 6-1, and Engine 6-2 made the response. Upon arrival, crews worked to contain a large oil spill and other hazard mitigation. The roadway is re-opened at this time.
17 years ago today, the West Whiteland Fire Company lost Fire Police Lieutenant Thomas DiOrio while he was performing his duties at a structure fire. This memorial sits in front of our station and is a constant reminder of his service and sacrifice to our company. May he continue to Rest In Peace.
Yesterday was another busy day for our members. At 12:07 PM, units were dispatched to assist Station 5 (East Whiteland Fire Company) on a building fire in their local. Units were released from the assignment shortly after arriving. Then at 2:43 PM, Engine 6-2 was dispatched to stand by at Station 37 (Modena Fire Company Station 37) while they operated at a scrap yard fire in their local. The engine crew stood by for about 5 hours before being called into the scene for a rekindle. The crews worked for another 2 hours before returning available.
Chief 6, Engine 6-1, Engine 6-2, and Ladder 6 made the response last night to assist Station 49 (East Brandywine Fire Company) on this house fire. Great work by all!
