Zion Charge of the United Church of Christ

Zion UCC will hold services at both churches on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Social distancing (a pew between families) will be practiced. Bulletins will be on a table in back for you to help yourself to eliminate contact with others. Masks are optional. Zion (Blain) services are at 8:30 am Sandy Hill (Kistler) services are at 10:15 am

Good Friday, April 10, 2020 Can you imagine what it must have been like for the disciples on that Good Friday so long ago? For them there was nothing "good" about it. The man that they had followed was dead, along with all their hopes and dreams, and most likely their faith. They might have given up right then and there and returned to their fishing nets, sadder but wiser. But they hung in there, and in three days their faith was renewed by something wonderful, something bey...ond their wildest imaginations. It is Good Friday, April 10, 2020. Today we figuratively stand at the foot of the cross once again and wonder where God has gone. We are like the disciples, who never imagined that they would see their friend and Master die. We never imagined life would be like this. But like the disciples, if we just hang on and trust in God, the day will come when we will once again laugh, and our hearts will be filled once again with joy. The day will come when Covid 19 will be only a memory, and we will talk of these days as our parents and grandparents spoke of the Great Depression. Covid 19 is temporary. GOD IS FOREVER!
