LuLu would do best with another dog to follow. She is almost house trained, but will go potty in the house if she isn't kept on a schedule. She is very calm and has a sweet old soul. Nala is a stunning 7 year old petite pittie mix. Even though she's getting older she is full of energy ! A family that can be very active with her and take her out on walks/hikes/runs as well as someone who has a fenced in yard would give her the opportunity to fully flourish. She is defenitly a people dog and loves to be with her human/ humans. She'll even love to go on car rides with her new family. She is an extreme attention hog and would be best suited for a home where s...he could receive all the attention and not have to share,as she can also be pretty selective with other animals. She currently resides in a home with 2 small children and does well with them, however she does get super excited at times and forgets that she needs to be careful around them so she doesn't knock them over. She is leash trained and needs to be crated when home alone but doesn't love to be in her crate for long periods of time. She is currently taking something to help her deal with her separation anxiety and her new home would need to be ok with administering her 1 pill a day. A family that can be home with her quite often would be a good fit for her. This sweet little lady's name is Crystal! Everyone who meets her says she is a sweetheart, and we'd be lying if we said we didn't agree. She is a 5 year old, 50 pound, Mini Golden doodle who was a former mill mama. She is spayed, chipped, and up to date on all of her vaccines. She loves everyone she meets and seems to like kids as well, as long as they are respectful. She does not like being alone, and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day. While she ...has met cats and small dogs, she would prefer to be your one and only, but with Crystal, you don't need anyone else! She is housebroken, but needs reminders to go out, and continues to get excited when her person comes home. Adopters should keep in mind that such a big change, like getting a new home, could cause potty training regression. Accidents during the adjustment period are quite normal. She does need some help learning that her crate is not a scary, but safe space for her to hang. She enjoys walks and cuddles, but is not familiar with toys yet. She is frightened by loud noises, especially when outdoors. Crystal will require a fenced yard and someone who is committed to helping her continue being her best self. Her adoption donation is $550. These are the collars of surrendered dogs in just ONE years time at only ONE facility. We stood there looking at the pile and its absolutely heartbreaking. Imagine how many would be on that pile with all the facilities in the US combined? The amount of homeless pets is suffocating. About 7 million animals are surrendered a year to shelters in the US. 1.5 million animals are euthanized every year and many for space. This is not ok!!!!! PLEASE. We beg of you. Foster. Volu...nteer. Donate. Adopt. Do your part. Spay and neuter. Educate people from buying from back yard breeders and puppy mills. Take a leap and volunteer a few hours or take a foster into your home. Meet Elsa, a 5 year old Shih Tzu who came to us when she could no longer be used for breeding. Elsa is a very timid girl so she will need a home that is willing to take the time to gain her trust. She would do best in a quiet home with no small children as noises and sudden movements scare her. She currently lives with three small dogs and does fine with all of them but she would do fine as an only dog as she is very relaxed when alone. Elsa has not been cat tested. She enjoy...s laying on her dog beds and running around the yard. We are still working on getting comfortable with a leash training so we fenced yard would be required as noises send her running. She is learning that toys are fun to play with but please no squeakers. Elsa is crate trained and almost housetrained, she will have accidents if you leave and do not crate her. She also likes to pull leaves off of house plants so please no toxic plants within her reach.If you are looking for a dog to cuddle play and sleep with you As soon as she enters your home then Elsa is not the dog for you.
