#PGF2020 This year, the festival will have a lot of spiritual activities like recitation of Ganesh Athervashirsha and conducting Pujas. Devotees will be able to witness the pujas and have Darshan of Lord Ganesha either in-person by signing up in advance for "In-person Darshan or online via Zoom/FaceBook/YouTube Live platforms, from the safety of your homes. We are requesting the community to please NOT COME UN- ANNOUNCED for Darshan from August 21-31 because of strict healt...h rules to avoid Covid-19 infection. We are observing restrictions on the number of devotees allowed in the deity hall. All good things must come to an end. So did PGF 2019. Yesterday was the last day of PGF. JUst like the first day, it was raining all day. But Bappa made sure that there was no rain on our parade. For about 2 hours of procession it did not rain. As usual procession was highlighted by the dhol tasha pathak. Children and adults performed music and dance service. Then Bappa was immersed in local pond. We had our final Mahaprasad last night. I don't have an exact count for number ...of devotees, but food committee volunteers had to prepare chickpeas and rice. But no one went home hungry. As soon as the procession and dinner were done, volunteers started cleaning up the temple for its regular activities. The food committee cleaned out the kitchen and pantry. The procession committee cleaned up as well. Over the next couple of days, all volunteers will clean the temple so our regular activities can resume. We can't wait to do this all over again next year. Yesterday was Day 10 of PGF. But it is the last day of cultural program and we couldn't have asked for a better finale than Be-Misal Baja, a musical program by Aditya Oke on harmonium, Satyajit Prabhu on harmonium/electronic keyboard and Prasad Padhye on tablaa. Initially when I saw this program on the schedule, I was wondering how they can entertain us for 2-3 hours with only music and no songs. But I was happily proven wrong. I did not want the program to end. For Mahaprasad, food was provided by the Punjabi Group and we had 650 people enjoying that food. Today is the last day of PGF. There will be a procession and dhol Tasha.
