Zion's "Liberty Bell" UCC Church 06.11.2020

Good morning everyone and welcome to Zion's "Liberty Bell" United Church of Christ in Center City Allentown! In the UCC we always say, especially when we cannot be physically together, no matter who you are or where you are on live's journey, you are welcome here at Zion's. Today is Sunday, November 1, the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost in the year of our Lord, 2020. Today is also "All Saints Day". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vez3X1_vhhY... Our worship leaders for this service are Shirley Christman, John Mink, Gerri Falk, Geoffrey Brace and Douglas Brace. Please be sure to have a candle ready so you can light it to remember those you have lost over the past year. If you have any joys, concerns, or prayers that you want to share with us, you can do this by emailing Debbie in the church office ([email protected]), Rev. Kistler ([email protected]), or send our Facebook Page a message. You can also call the church office at 610-435-2412. Please like, comment, and share our posts and page. Doing any of these helps others to see our posts and is similar to inviting your friends, family, neighbors, or others in your life to our church service if we were gathering in-person in our sanctuary.

United Church of Christ: Pre-Election Day Communion Service of Unity in HOPE For months across the United Church of Christ National setting, conferences, and local churches, we have gathered, utilized, and disseminated our faith-based civic engagement tools grounded in General Synod resolutions that speak to how we live out our covenant to BE CHURCH together. We answered the call to ensure our neighbors were counted in the 2020 Census and, as we do every election cycle, that ...citizens are equipped to make their voices heard this election season. As we approach the final hours until Election Day, we want to invite the church to pause and gather in worship together. Please join us for a church-wide Pre-Election Communion Service of Unity in HOPE. This will be a 90-minute service that includes encouraging words from former General Ministers, Rev. Dr. Paul Sherry, Rev. Dr. John Thomas, and Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Black, as well as former Associate General Minister, Dr. Edith Guffey. We will also be led in Communion by former Executive Ministers of Justice & Witness Ministries, Rev. Bernice Powell Jackson, and Rev. Linda Jaramillo. Several full communion partners will join us as well. Rev. John C. Dorhauer will offer us all a message of hope. We pray that you will be able to join us for this important gathering on the eve of Election Day. Register to attend by going to https://ucc.zoom.us//80160371866/WN_0aiODAgEQ2yn2RPn2kKzYQ

Hello friends, supporters, and followers of the Jubilee Breakfast Ministry! We are in the process of getting everything ready for the beginning of our 2020-202...1 season, which begins next Thursday on November 5th. We finished the 2019-2020 season (each season runs from the beginning of November through the end of April) as the COVID-19 lockdown started and were able to successfully continue to serve breakfast on our normal days of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings. We did this by switching to a grab-and-go meal. We begin the 2020-2021 season under similar COVID-19 precautions and that same style of preparing and serving our meal. What we need now is YOU! We need you and others to sign up to volunteer. If you are not able to do that, you can help by making a financial donation. Another possibility is to ask us what types of supplies or food you can donate. Sign-up to Volunteer = http://tinyurl.com/JubileeBreakfastMinistry Financial Donations = http://tinyurl.com/donatetojubilee Donation Requests (send us a Facebook Message) = http://m.me/ZionJubileeMinistry Everyone is in the middle of tough times and we are doing the best that we can to continue to provide a hot breakfast and warm hospitality to those in need during the cold months of the year. We ask that you join us and help to meet that goal. Feel to leave any comments or questions. Also, give this is post a like, a heart for love or caring, and share it so that others can get involved and help out. Thank you!
