Wood and leather? Wood and rawhide? There's one month left to apply to our Annual Juried Woodworking Exhibition and this year's theme, "Wood and..." means it's your chance to explore a combination of materials. Whether functional or sculptural, each submission should reflect the way Esherick worked across a vast spectrum of materials and practices as well as his outside the box thinking. Deadline to submit work: January 4, 2021 For details visit https://whartonesherickmuseum.org//the-27th-annual-juried/

If it gets to gray outside, we just bask in the rays of these three suns! Esherick made this little oak stool in 1931 to sit by his fireplace down at the farmhouse, which he called 'Sunekrest' (pronounced Sunny-Krest). Sun motifs adorned the shutters, fireplace hearth, even the chimney at Sunekrest - thanks to Esherick's handiwork!
