to the members and friends of 1st UCC - Carlisle Good afternoon, Hopefully by now you have all received the vaccination survey. If you have not, please feel free to contact the church office. We are grateful for all of those people who have sent in their surveys. Gathering this data will help with the plans of re-opening the church. The church building is remaining closed now for the time being, but the life of the church continues. Weekly worship is shared through socia...l media and technology (Livestream Facebook, Youtube, 1ucc.org, and Uber Teleconference). There are opportunities to support the church (financially and spiritually), and there are efforts to help those in need (collecting jackets, blankets and sleeping bags, collecting spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, collecting Ramen noodles, etc.). There will be more chances to give and be generous. We will be in community physically again sometime soon in the future. just a reminder to people: 1st United church of Christ - Carlisle will hold virtual worship tomorrow (Sunday February 28). It will be livestreamed at 10 am on Kahu 'Pastor' Chris FB page. Uber teleconference will be used to help connect people who do not have technology. The worship service will also be posted on the church website (1ucc.org), Youtube, and the church website. The sermon will be on another instance of outlandish behavior of Jesus - disappearing for 18 years. All are welcome, please come and participate with us for worship. #1ucccarlisle

Good morning! A word for Wednesday January 27, 2021.

as we near the end of January, I would just like to offer a word of gratitude. thank you all who donated to this winter project which involves Safe Harbour and Community Cares. So far we have collected 10 blankets, 20 sleeping bags, and a boatload (this is a technical term) of jackets. We will be distributing these resources next week, but we are looking to collected more in February and March. have a blessed day! #1ucccarlisle

Show Your Team Spirit This Season! Our annual Souper Bowl celebration will be starting today (January 25) The church is closed to worship at least through January 31. To abide by COVID-19 restrictions, we will be doing things differently this year. We will be accepting money and/or change from January 25th to February 4th. People will be able to give money toward their favorite team in the Super Bowl (Kansas City Chiefs or Tampa Bay Buccaneers) As this year is Super Bowl 55, ...we are aiming to raise at least $550. The donated money will be given to Project Share. Methods of Giving: Come into Church: Please call (717-243-2512) or email Lyndsey ([email protected]) to make a reservation as to when you can come into the building and give money toward your favorite team. Monday-Thursday 8am-1pm. Drive Through: Come to the parking lot January 27th or February 3rd from 10 am to 1pm and drop money off with a designated person in the parking lot. Home Pick-Up: If you would like Pastor Chris to stop by your home to pick up a donation toward your team, please call the office to set up a time. The two days for this home pick up will be January 28th and February 4th. Mail in: you can also mail in checks to the church.
