It is with great sadness to inform you of the passing of Staff Sergeant (Retired) Charles Taylor. MSgt Taylor was an enormous inspiration to the Engineering Section of the 201st RED HORSE. He retired in July of 1991. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Taylor Family during this most difficult time. Rest In Peace TO THE HORSE... Rick Eisenhauer Obituary Charles E. Taylor, Jr., 71, of Williamstown, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic Hospital. Charlie was born in Lykens, September 4, 1949, a son of Charles E. Taylor, Sr., Millersburg and the late Joan Moss Taylor. Charlie was a 1967 graduate of Williams Valley High School. He was a Vietnam Air Force Veteran. He was retired from the 193rd Special Operation Wing, 201 Red Horse Squadron. Charlie also retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Following retirement he worked for TW Consultants. He was a member of the Williamstown American Legion. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Notre Dame football. He had a great passion for Ford Mustangs all of his life. Holidays were Charlie's time, he enjoyed everything about the holidays, especially the family get togethers. Surviving in addition to his father are his wife and best friend, Debra A. Shuey Taylor; a son, Jason Taylor, Elizabethville; a step-daughter, Ashlee Deibert, Gratz; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Emilee and Drake; a sister, Leslie Lengel, TN; nieces and nephews he dearly loved. Following Charlie's wishes there will be no services. Burial will be held at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Hillside SPCA, Inc., PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901 or the networkforgood.org for the Steven Johnson Syndrome Foundation.
