Merry Christmas Eve everyone. Main Streer Bagel is open until 1pm today. Call early for your bagel orders or stop in for a quick bite in between your last minute shopping. Thank you for a wonderful season, we love you all!!!

With all these recommendations to stay at home, we are taking orders for bagel baskets and platters available for pick up and delivery to your favorite people. Order yours soon, last day to take orders will be Monday December 21st to assure we can get them out on time. I would also like to thank all of our loyal customers for supporting our local business and continuing to come in during this chaotic time in 2020. Dear family & friends, I am reaching out to you with a very personal request on behalf of my daughter, Vanessa. Vanessa is in Stage 5 kidney disease and ...in desperate need of a transplant. Despite being on the transplant list for a year, we are no closer to finding her a donor and she is getting closer to kidney failure. Vanessa has had many medical issues in her 37 years. Among other problems, she was born with a neurogenic bladder that subsequently caused kidney infections and she now only has 14% residual function in her kidneys. So time is of the essence. A living donor is a best chance for her survival. I know what I am asking is a serious undertaking but I wouldn’t be asking if Vanessa’s situation wasn’t so serious. As her mother, there is nothing worse than seeing my daughter deteriorate and being helpless to do anything. She went from being a fun-loving person with a bubbly personality who loved doing outdoorsy activities like going to Knoebels to someone who is tired all the time and has lost her zest for life. She (and I) just want her to be healthy again so she can live her life to the fullest and once more enjoy the things she loves. Please consider being the person to help save my precious daughter’s life.
