Friday, June 28th from 5-8 pm please join in the Mt Carmel Community Garden Opening Day Picnic!! It will be held at the community pool complex at 400 N. Market Street in Mt Carmel. There will be live music, food, vendors and activities.

The Mount Carmel Township Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that occurred at the Friendly Choice Mart in Atlas at approximately 08:40 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2018. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6'00, wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt, a dark colored baseball hat, an orange t-shirt around his neck and face, gray sweatpants, and gray sneakers. The suspect is possibly driving a silver or light gold in color 2 door vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to please contact the Mount Carmel Township Police Department at 570-339-1653.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. This year on Tuesday August 7, 2018 @ 5:...30pm to 8:30pm the Mount Carmel Township Police Department in connection with the Mount Carmel Borough Police Department and Kulpmont Police Department will be hosting our annual National Night Out at the Mount Carmel Area Recreation Complex which is located in the area of the Mount Carmel pool and little league complex. The Recreation Committee has alllowed us to have a free swim during this time which will also have live entertainment from the band "Check 1 Two." All the local fire departments and emergency services will be on hand as well with their respective apparatuses. There will be games for the kids as well as food and drinks. There will be live demonstrations as well. Police partnerships and community awareness are essential to a safe and progressive community. Stop by with your children on the above date and time and let us get together to further our community’s future.
