There are people you come across in hospitality and life that are a constant reminder why so many of us choose to do what we do. Matt Evangelist was one of thos...e people. From day one at Seaport Matty’s smile, infectious personality, and genuine care for everyone around him was an inspiration to us all. A man is judged by the company he keeps, and we could not hold Matt in higher regard. Night after night troves of family and friends would pile into the pier searching for him and a seat at his bar. His circle of friends seemed boundless and spoke to the type of man he was. We are all better for having Matty as a part of our lives and will miss him dearly. We truly lost one of the great ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with Matt’s entire family especially Karen, Jenna, and Matt. Rest in peace Matt we all will miss you friend.
