Last year's resolution resulted in roughly 12 pounds lost and building a lot of good habits. So this year in the spirit of the financial penalty to build a good habits or reach a good goal I have the following resolution. I will lose 20 pounds by the end of 2021. If I do not I will pay Anna $1000. There it is. Good luck on yours. And put some stakes on it if you want. To me the stakes make it a goal, not a wish. ... Last year's was if anyone saw me eat chips, crackers, fried food, or drank sweetened beverages I had to pay them $50 on the spot. I paid out roughly $400-600 by my estimation. So really not terrible and worked well at building good habits.
