The AURORA outdoor orientation program pivoted during the pandemic to ensure freshman connections were still made, even in a virtual format. Virtual hikes, interactive national park experiences, personal outdoor activities, and nightly Zoom chats with their hiking groups allowed the participants time to connect and enjoy the outdoors even if they weren't all in one location.
