We are moving from yellow to green! And it feels extra special to move to the green phase on the five year anniversary of launching A519. We will be returning to our chocolatey ways and announcing our updated protocols and plans for classes shortly. friday mood | this is real @valrhonausa chocolate set into a mold lined with diffraction grating film. the small grooves in the film allow the chocolate to set up in a manner that will beautifully reflect the light. technique first seen by @artisanne_chocolatier

It’s unusual for me to make chocolates without lots of color, but I’m really enjoying the look of these dark chocolates

Goat’s milk caramels for @goat_rodeo_cheese which are available at @monaimeechocolat. Each batch cooks for four hours and after pouring is cut and wrapped by hand.

I’m Amanda and @a519chocolate ‘s chocolatier and owner I’ve called Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania home for nearly 5 years after growing up in California and going to college in New York. I fell in love with chocolate during pastry school at @theculinaryinstituteofamerica in Napa Valley and have been working with it ever since. I’d love to hear where you are from and what you love!

sent these truffles to @animal_friendsinc Black Tie & Tails Gala over the weekend! we adopted our dog Oofie from Animal Friends in 2015 and are so thankful for the wonderful work they do to help animals!

The last three chocolate classes of the year are posted! Classes are put on hold during November and December, but will resume in January. You can still purchase classes as gifts to be redeemed next year.
