Identical twin TimberTech Azek Decks, side by side for duplex neighbors. Everything is exactly identical: stair height, diagonal measurement to square each one, length, width, number of boards, number of hidden clips, screws, plugs, and the list goes on. So precise we probably won't be able to duplicate this again.

COVID-19 approved activity: Deck inspection guidelines: Get outdoors. Now is the time to inspect older decks to determine if any repairs are needed. Look closely at ground level where the posts meet soil. Be sure the bracket that is attached to the footing is in good shape and all nails and bolts are in place and secure. You may need to move some soil to uncover the bracket and footing. Stand up on the deck and hold the railing and try to shake the deck. It shouldn’t shake or... sway. Inspect every deck board, they should be solid and not soft anywhere. Do the same inspection of the frame below. The joist, beams, and posts also should be solid. Be sure all screws, nails, and nuts and bolts are tight and secure. Inspect rusty bolts closely as they may be broken and could be a hazardous situation. Like and share for others looking to get outdoors and get some fresh air. See more
