These custom made stainless caps in black powder coat turned out nice.

Nice little "historic" chimney restoration in process. We tore it down to the attic floor inside and rebuilt. We decided to use a cast in place refractory concrete to stabilize everything.

And another beautiful turnout. This chimney was not constructed properly, 30 years ago. The masons did not allow room for the expansion of the terracotta flue lining. This deficiency led to some cracking.... It was a tough brick to match, but turned out great.

Good things take time. Finally. All done.

Another nice turnout. Please notice how our new mortar is a close match to the old stuff. (This doesn't happen by accident. Over the years we have gotten pretty good at getting them real close. The only thing we would like to see different on this one is a flue cap and/or low profile top mounted damper installed. (Specifically, to keep critters and H2O out, but the client declined those points.) ... Oh well, thanks for looking. On to the next one.

A little warm today, but we were able to take care of some necessary repairs on this chimney, and we installed their Jotul wood burning insert. Given the concerns with the shutdowns we strongly recommend planning ahead for service and repairs.
