Why are some businesses in PA still allowed to subject their patrons and workers to deadly secondhand smoke? I’m with the American Heart Association in asking you to support HB 2298/SB 610 to put all businesses on a level playing field and provide a smokefree environment for all workers. #ClearTheAirPA.

It’s been years since other states have cleared the air of smoking in bars, casinos and other workplaces. Why does Pennsylvania think it’s OK to continue putting the health of thousands of hardworking people at risk? Updating PA’s Clean Indoor Air Law to protect ALL workers is way past due. I’m volunteering with the American Heart Association to ask you to support HB 2298/SB 610 because everyone deserves to breathe smokefree air. #ClearTheAirPA

Smoking and secondhand smoke are among the leading causes of heart disease, stroke, cancer and lung disease. And it’s 100% preventable. Pennsylvania’s Clean Indoor Air Law still allows smoking in too many places, putting thousands of workers needlessly at risk. As we recover from the COVID-19 crisis, let’s make sure all Pennsylvanians can go back to work in a safe, healthy environment free from secondhand smoke.
