Sansho 2 at Sonoran Aikikai!

For the past few months we have been working on Sansho 1 from both sides- regular side (starting from left tsuki) and brain and muscle memory challenging side (...starting from right tsuki). For me, the opposite side is a Major challenge for my mature brain (yes, that’s a nice way of saying my aging brain), but slow and steady progress is being made. It’s just a training exercise, and we are still clunking along somewhat on the opposite side, but we are finding that challenging ourselves to work from both sides with continuous openings, attacks and responses is sharpening our weapons training in general.
