Hanger doors open enjoying the last days of the good weather

The C-47 seats are almost finished and don’t they look fantastic!? Found by Ed Klacik from a Hollywood movie prop shop, these seats have been lovingly repaired and brought back to pristine serviceability. Thanks to Greg Werking, Dave Matthews, and Sweet Old Bill Whipkey who did the most work on them.

Bob Gbur warmed up the L-21 cub this morning before going into the hanger for winter inspection.

Fighter Pilot Saturday was fantastic! Below, Pat Hempen demonstrates tactics, Larry Googins discusses the finer points of atomic missiles, Jack McMahon shows the inside of a F-106 cockpit, and Tom Hupp demonstrates how it feels to have a gorilla on your chest when pulling high g’s. Dewey Clawson provided an in depth review of the F-100 Super Sabre, the first of the Century Series, and a young non fighter pilot, Ben Wahl, demonstrates the donning of all the extra equipment that fighter pilots must wear to survive.
