Alberto & Pasquale

Hi everyone, unfortunately we are in the middle of switching phone numbers at the shop and you might not be able to reach us. We're sorry for any inconvenience, and we are trying to get everything working as soon as possible. When everything is good to go it will be the same phone number.

At the end of August, Alberto & Pasquale will be going through a lot of changes. In the face of a changing clothing and retail market and the rising price of our current location, we will be moving to another location. Right now we pretty much take whatever work comes in the door. This gives us an overwhelming volume of work, usually, with a very short amount of lead time to have it finished. I have tried hiring more people to help offset the wait times but the job pool for q...ualified employees that meet our standards is limited. Another problem for us is the price that we need to charge to stay in the current building and pay the number of skilled employees that we currently have, has had to rise. Unfortunately a lot of popular clothing stores have cut prices so much and offered a much cheaper product, that many people find it difficult to pay more in alterations than they did for the garment itself. Which is becoming increasingly common given the sales and factory/outlet options now given to consumers. So this has put me in a difficult predicament. Close and find another way to make a living? Or try and figure out how to make it work? I decided to make some changes and try to make it work. So the first thing we will be doing is moving to another location. We will be moving to Lawrenceville starting in September. You will find our address on our Facebook which I will try to keep updated much more often. I am also working on a new website that will provide everyone with our new address and other new information. Another thing that will change will be the way we see our customers. We will no longer be at street level and will take appointments for fittings. Our phone will be the same and starting September 6th, we will be able to take text messages as well. In addition we will have an email for appointments located on the new website. One of the other big changes will be our focus. We will be concentrating more so on the restructuring of suits and jackets and most of all custom clothing. We will still take in alteration work as well but we will have a smaller staff and might not be able to take in as much or finish as quickly as we were able to before. More information will be coming soon and I will try very hard to get everything up and running as soon as I can.
