We are asking that you please keep two of our members in your thoughts and prayers. These members have been having some complications with different serious illnesses and we would like to make sure they know that we all stand with them and lift them up in their time of need. Tonight we light a candle for healing.

Tonight the ghosts and goblins will be walking the streets collecting treats from neighbors! We ask that anyone traveling, please be cautious of trick or treaters in the area. If you wish for trick or treaters to stop at your house for candy, please leave your porch light on or be outside. Trick or treat is from 6pm to 8pm. Here are some tips for kids on being safe. Make sure to look both ways before crossing the street.... Walk on sidewalks and use crosswalks where applicable. Wear reflective clothing or use glow sticks to make yourself visible. Take a flashlight. Take a buddy, stay with adults. Have a happy Halloween!

Today our members went to all the dry hydrants in our coverage area. We flushed all of the hydrants and assured all hydrants were properly maintained. These hydrants are critical in rural areas as a source of water. Once we were done with the dry hydrants, we flushed every truck to ensure that all components work properly. These maintenance checks are much needed to ensure our equipment is working properly for all emergencies. Thank you to the members who assisted today!

This Saturday, June 6th we want to encourage all community members to join us as we escort the class of 2020 through town. Untraditional isn’t even how to describe the year that they have endured. These seniors deserve to be recognized and we want to do just that! Approximately 2:30-3:00 we will be leaving the school headed towards Petersburg. We then will be coming to Alexandria and ending at Acco Brands. Listen up because you’ll hear us coming! ... We’d love to see you step outside and applaud these students for a job well done! One major thing our community is notorious for is our community support and we know that you won’t let us down! Can’t wait to see you Saturday!
