A Suspected Baldwin Shooter Arrested by Deputies (02/10), http://ow.ly/o6nY50Dx5my
The day was February 10, 1969. The Steelers hadn't hoisted the Lombardi Trophy yet. Richard Nixon was the US President. JAY-Z wasn't born.... Gas prices were around 34 cents. "Build Me Up Buttercup" was blazing up the Billboard charts. A young man named Bill Mullen took his oath to serve and protect and never looked back. Congratulations to Sheriff Bill Mullen on his 52nd anniversary in law enforcement!
January 9th is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.). Sheriff Bill Mullen and Chief Deputy Kevin Kraus thank the hardworking, devoted members of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office who, through their actions, make our citizens safer and our communities stronger. The mission of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office is accomplished by the day in, day out efforts of Deputy Sheriffs. Like all public safety officers, Deputies face unending change and adversity. Despite these challenges, the self-sacrifice, bravery and commitment of our Deputies does not waver. Sending deep appreciation to our Deputy Sheriffs, and law enforcement officers across the country, who seek to protect and honorably serve our nation’s citizens.

We will be selling shirts, sweatshirts and hats on-line for a limited time only. Our friends at GPSA set up a Web Store that will run until January 10th. After the closure of the store, orders will be processed and shipped out (roughly 3 weeks after closure). Also an option for Pick up from ACS can be selected and one of the handlers can pick it up for you. https://acsk9.itemorder.com All proceeds will go towards helping fund our K9 Unit. As always, Ranger, Riky, Zeke and Woody appreciate your support.
On behalf of Sheriff Mullen and Chief Kraus, Deputy Tarap delivered pastries for the "Donuts for Dispatchers" at the AGH Co 911 Center as a thank you for their continued work and assistance to the Sheriff's Office.
